Hello to Everyone and Anyone that has taken the time to read my writing even though I almost missed when I jumped towards the Substack bandwagon.
Being a writer on the internet can be uniquely beneficial as well as putting the author at a disadvantage due to the numerous sites offering ways to make money from writing.
Technology is a way of organizing the universe so that man doesn't have to experience it. ~ Max Frisch
Picking My Gravy Trains
I've not actually found any trains but I recently realized that I have slept on Substacks too long and it's time to wake up.
I am not sure if imposter syndrome was holding me back but I am a writer so after looking closely at the possibilities Substack offers, I decided this is one train I should board.
Current Trains I Ride
Currently I contribute articles on Medium and HubPages. I've made a some profit using both platforms although I will readily admit that if I put in more effort, I'd earn a lot more.
I've shared my profile on a couple of freelancer sites such as Fivvr and People Per Hour. I also have maintained my personal blog, Donetta Writes, since 2011.

My poetry has appeared in The Mystic Blue Review, Spillwords (twice) and Ink & Voices. I'm proud of these achievements and am sending out submissions often.
Here's my story so far when it comes to my writing life. Stick around for next week's The Good Write and I'll share the writing endeavors that have led to starving from lack of gravy.
